PulmoReg Acute pulmonary embolism registry
A shared record of acute pulmonary embolism cases for participating centres — the same fields everywhere, calculations on the server and your own results next to the whole registry, without patient personal data.
PulmoReg is a working name for the registry.
What the registry offers
Four things a shared registry solves and separate spreadsheets at individual sites do not.

One data dictionary
Every centre records the same fields with the same meaning. The dictionary is versioned, so extending it leaves earlier records intact.

Automatic scores
PESI, sPESI, the ESC class, BMI, mean arterial pressure and creatinine clearance are computed on the server from the values entered. Formulas are versioned and approved by the medical lead.

Your centre against the whole
Each site sees its own figures next to the registry total — without naming or ranking other centres.

No patient personal data
The registry holds age, sex, dates and clinical data. Names, national identification numbers and patient contact details never enter it.
How to join
Three steps lead from the request to the first record.

Registration
You fill in your name and work e-mail and pick your centre.

Approval by the coordinator
The registry coordinator reviews the request and assigns the site. You will hear the outcome by e-mail.

Entering cases
A case is entered step by step and an unfinished record is saved as you go. You can correct it at any time and the change history is kept.
Participating centres
The registry is being prepared with sites that treat acute pulmonary embolism interventionally.

Medical leads
The medical leads are responsible for the clinical content of the registry — the data dictionary and the calculation formulas.

Security and data protection
The registry is built so that its content cannot lead back to the patient.

Pseudonymisation
A case carries the reference number of its centre, not the identity of the patient. Linking it back to a patient stays at the site.

Server in the European Union
Data is stored on a server in the European Union and transmitted over an encrypted connection.

Audit trail
Sign-ins, record changes and exports all leave a trail — who did what and when.
